Eugea, Naumann Named Blackburn Athletes of the Week

CARLINVILLE, IL -- Freshman Grant Eugea and junior Janelle Naumann were named the Blackburn College Athletes of the Week for their performances last week. 

Naumann scored her first career goal and the first goal of the season for the Women's Soccer team in Sunday's 1-1 tie at Mount Mary University. She also paced the team with five shots, putting four of them on goal. 

Eugea scored his second goal of the season in Tuesday's Men's Soccer match at Asbury University. Eugea took a teammates shot that deflected off the crossbar and put it into the net to give the team a 1-0 lead. 

This week, the golf teams take on Westminster College and Fontbonne College Monday. The volleyball team heads to Harris Stowe University Tuesday night for a nonconference matchup before hosting Lyon College Thursday and Friday for St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference contests. 

On Saturday, the soccer teams host Westminster College in both teams' SLIAC Openers.
