Offense and Defense Struggle in Beavers Loss

The Blackburn College Baseball Team committed four errors and had just one hit in a 10-0 non-conference loss to Illinois Wesleyan on Saturday in Jackson, Mississippi.  Matt Mokriakow had the lone hit. The lack of offense and poor defense overshadowed a solid outing by senior righthander Jacob Baalman.  Baalman went six innings and only allowed two earned runs.

The second game of the doubleheader did not start due to the impending rain in the south.

Blackburn is 0-2 and may reschedule the second game on Monday in Jackson weather permitting before heading to New Orleans.
