Blackburn Bounces back to Defeat MacMurray 11-9

The Beavers took game three of the three game series against MacMurray and Brady Wilkinson (35) was rewarded the win behind the booming Blackburn offense. The Beaver hitters came out with a vengeance after being held to a run in both of the first two games of the series. Ryan Steen (25) got the offense rolling with a sacrifice fly to left that scored Steven Diaz (15) in the bottom of the first. The home team continued to pound away at the plate with scoring in each of the first four innings and a total of eleven runs. Steen added two more RBIs in the fourth with a two-run home run off the top of the left field fence. The Beavers had several players record RBIs: Diaz, Shane Lewis (3), and Brandon Smith (2) recorded two RBIs each, Austin Presley (4) and Ry Clark (33) both added an RBI as well. Wilkinson was able to give Blackburn 6.2 innings on the mound and was relieved by Dillon Hensley (20) who pitched .2 innings. Jake Lochhead (32) took over in the eighth with two runners on from Hensley. Lochhead stranded the runners and closed the game in the ninth to record his first save of the season.
