The entire first half had the men's basketball team chasing SLIAC foe Principia Tuesday on evening. Blackburn had to find a way to cool the hot hand of Principia's Kenny Sydness and his perimeter game.  However the second half featured another fast start by Blackburn as they cruised to a 74-63 victory.

For the second straight game, Blackburn came out hot to start the second half as they went on a 16-4 run.  With a comfortable eight point lead, the bench came out and secured the victory as they dropped 29 points on the night. Featuring a drive and dunk by Brandon Hill that blew the roof of the gym and ended Principia's night.

Leading the Beavers was Matt Chandler who had a game high 14 points and 8 rebounds. Jon Lowry added another solid night with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists and went perfect from the free throw line. Blackburn shot a season best 77.3 percent from the line as well.  The men's team now posts a 2-18 record with a 2-8 record in SLIAC play.

With five games remaining, they will now travel to Kentucky on February 2nd to battle Spalding University for some SLIAC action.
