Blackburn Falls To Hanover College

The Blackburn College Men’s Basketball Team played a tough game on Sunday afternoon against Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana. The game proved to be a difficult challenge for Blackburn as they still lack the experience needed to play at a high level.

The Beavers found themselves on the wrong side of a 10-0 run to start the game and were down quit. Poor shooting (31%) from the field made it near impossible to come back from this. Hanover shot 57 percent from the field throughout the game.

The second half was no different, as Hanover continued to outscore Blackburn. Hanover was ahead of Blackburn in points scored, assists, rebounds, steals, and turnovers and they were tied for the most blocked shots in the game. The final score was 99-52 with Hanover on top.

The men’s team will take the court next against Rockford College on Wednesday starting at 1:00 PM. This will be a home game for Blackburn, as well as their home opener, taking place in the Dawes Gymnasium on Blackburn’s campus.
