The Blackburn College Men’s Basketball team wrapped up the Lee Pfund Classic at Wheaton College on Saturday with a game against the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Blackburn, coming off a loss against Wheaton College on Friday night, looked to get back on track with a win.

The first half started with a 10-3 run by the Falcons of UWRF. The Beavers fought hard to cut the lead but UWRF would not back down. Blackburn’s lack of experience on their roster showed as they found themselves down 50-20 at half.

Despite a spark of energy coming out of the locker room for the beginning of the second half, the Beavers were unable to cut the deficit. Going on run-after-run, the Falcons continued to expand their lead. The game ended with UWRF over Blackburn 99-47.

Chris Davis scored twelve points and added six rebounds and three assists to lead Blackburn. The men’s team will take the court again on Sunday, November 24 at Hanover College starting at 3:00 PM.
