Beaver's Hot Hand Slam the Red Devils

The Blackburn College Men’s Basketball Team took the floor against Eureka College Wednesday evening in hopes to finally earn their first win of their 2013-14 campaign.  Playing in front of a rowdy home crowd wearing retro Beaver gear, the team went on to have their best shooting performance of the season en route to a dominating win over the Red Devils 88-51.  The Red Devils could do nothing to stop the hot hand of Blackburn, who shot a season best 61% from three-point range, and 56% from the field.

Blackburn took over the game from the tip-off, jumping out to a big lead powered by a three-point attack led by Tommy Ulinski and Jon Lowry.  The Beavers cruised into halftime with a sizeable lead 41-25.  Coming out to start the second half, Chris Davis hit back to back threes to extend the lead which would eventually become too much for Eureka to bounce back from. It was a very physical game with a total of five technical fouls being charged with three belonging to Eureka.

Leading scorer for Blackburn was Chris Davis who fought for 19 points while Tommy Ulinski had 17 points after hitting four shots from downtown.  Now with a record of 1-14, Blackburn will have a five game home stand beginning with Spalding University on January 25th.
