The Winning Steak Continues

In the secluded town of Elsah, IL, the Blackburn Men's Basketball team won their third game in a row.  When traveling to Principia College, one can find that they lose cell phone service and find themselves on top of a hill with nothing in site except the Mississippi River.  The Beavers simply dominated the Principia Panthers by a score of 83-42.  The Beavers were coming off a win against Webster University and found themselves another conference win to start the New Year.  When asked about the recent wins for the Beavers and what the wins were contributed to?, Coach Kollar said "We are playing hard on every possession especially at the defense end, we are playing every minute with the same intensity and its working."

Leading the way for the Beavers was Chris Davis, who scored 19 points and also had 6 steals.  Also scoring in double figures for the Beavers was DeAndre Manual who had 16 points and Henry Hicks who had 14 points. The Beavers shot 41.5% from the field, 37.5% from 3 point range, and 75.0% from the charity stripe.  The Beavers also had 67 rebounds and 20 assists as a team.

Leading the way for the Panthers was Jeff Ross as he scored 13 points.  The Panthers shot 22.2% from the field, 15.0% from the 3 point range, and made 11-11 from the free throw line to shoot 100% from the charity stripe.  The Panthers also grabbed 33 rebounds and had 9 assists as a team.

The Beavers next game is on Saturday, January 9th at Westminster College with the tip off set for 3:00 pm.
