Second Half Rally By Eureka Halts Blackburn

The Blackburn College Men's Basketball Team was defeated by the Eureka College Red Devils by the score of 101-83 in a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Clash.
The first half was a very evenly matched contest between both the Beavers and Red Devils. Eureka would make a run to only see Blackburn come right back at them. The Beavers shot 47% from the field in the first half but struggled from three shooting just 22%.
It was all Kendall Davis for the Red Devils in the first half leading his team with 16 points.
The second half started off with the Red Devils going on a run to put them up 58-47. The Beavers showed fight as they would recover and reduce the deficit to six, but ultimately wasn't enough to stop Eureka.
Shea Feehan of the Red Devils had a remarkable second half performance scoring 30 points and ultimately holding off Blackburns strong second half effort.
Jake Maestranzi led the Beavers with 17 points.
The Beavers look to bounce back on Wednesday as they take on Iowa Wesleyan at 7:00pm in Mount Pleasant, Iowa.
