The Blackburn College Men's Basketball Team closed out the 2017 year with a convincing 100-70 victory over Finlandia University in the Third Place Game of the Nicolet National Bank Holiday Tournament hosted by St. Norbert College.  The Beavers shot out to a 51-36 halftime lead and never looked back in improving to 6-4 on the season.  Reed Rusten led six Beavers into double figure scoring with 18 points.  Karson Hayes totalled 17, Nigel Ferrell 16, Duncan King 14, Jamaya Wyatt 11, and Jordan Clay 10 joined Rusten into double figures.

The Beavers forced Finlandia into 24 turnovers and and shot 51 percent from the field on 39 of 77 shooting. Duncan King was named to the All-Tournament Team. Blackburn returns to action in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play at Principia College on January 2nd with a 7 p.m. tip-off.
