Blackburn College junior guard Karson Hayes of Little Rock, Arkansas, was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference player of the week for the week ending November 25. Hayes scored 23 points in leading Blackburn to an 81-77 non-conference road victory at Elmhurst College. Hayes was six of eleven from the field including five of seven from three-point range. Hayes also grabbed six rebounds and had two steals while going six of six at the foul line.
"Karson played an outstanding all around game to help get us the win on the road," said Blackburn Coach Steve Kollar. "He obviously made some big shot and clutch free throws but was also our leader in hustle plays. He's a great scorer, but when he's locked into doing those other things as well, he is a special player," added Kollar.
