With the fall golf season coming up in full swing, third year coach John Malin is looking for improvement from his players this fall. Coach Malin says "With the postseason being in the spring, he wants the team to improve in the fall, and lower scores from last year."
The Beavers will have four returning players from last year, Matt Liddell, Tyler Solie, Kyle Kessinger, and Jordan McMillen. Also, the Beavers have added five new players to team this year.
Leading the way for the Beavers is senior, Matt Liddell. "I want the team to improve and lower scores from last year and, as well as myself" Liddell says. Another senior, Tyler Solie says "With hard work I see no reason why this team can't compete this fall.
Coach Malin is also looking for his second year players to help improve the team. "With their experience, I look for Jordan and Kyle to improve greatly over last year" says Malin.
Blackburn has five new players joining this year's squad, Anthony Harper from Nashville, IL, Jacob Hei from East Alton, IL, Coady Rebbe from Petersburg, IL, Jordan Mueller from Bluffs, IL, and Keith Kerr from Virden, IL. "I look for Anthony and Jacob to help bring some competition to the team, and for Coady, Jordan, and Keith to improve and start competing for spots in the top five as well" says Malin.
The Beavers will start their season on September 20th at the Links in Jacksonville, IL.
