The Blackburn Men's Golf Team competed in Millikin University's Big Blue Fall Invitational this past weekend at Hickory Point Golf Course in Forsyth, IL.  Blackburn faced difficult competition and finished in 10th place among the 12 teams participating.  Blackburn first round score of 315 was 25 strokes behind tournament leader Parkland Community College.  On the second day of play Blackburn improved their team score by 5 strokes with round of 310.  Leading the way for Blackburn was senior Matt Liddell with a two day score of 156 followed by freshman Anthony Harper at 157.  Sophmore, Jordan McMillen and senior, Tyler Solie both tallied scores of 158 for the two day tournament.  Head Coach, John Malin said " I'm very pleased with our play this weekend.  The field of teams in the tournament included several larger private universities from the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin and several universities that offer athletic scholarships. This was an excellent challenge for the team and great preparation for conference play during the spring semester."
