Conference Tournament Day One Recap

At the SLIAC Conference tournament at Aberdeen Country Club, playing 36 holes in one day, the Blackburn Men's Golf team made the most of it, by going out and shooting the team low of the fall with a 321 in the first round, and a 327 in the second round.  The Beavers are currently 5th in the team standings out of eight.  The Beavers are 11 shots out of fourth place team the MacMurray Highlanders, and are quite a ways from the leading teams, Webster University Gorloks and the Spaulding University Golden Eagles. 

                Low individual in the first round for Blackburn was Sophomore, Jordan McMillen, who shot 77 and was tied for seventh after the first round.  Right behind McMillen was sophomore Kyle Kesinger who shot 78 and was tied for 11th.  Also counting scores in the first round was senior Tyler Solies' 82 and freshman, Anthony Harpers' 84.  In the second round, Kyle Kesinger was the low individual on Blackburn as he recorded as score of 75 to be seven shots back from the leader.  Kesinger is alone at 9th place.  Other scores recorded on the second round for Blackburn was Jordan McMillen, who shot 81, Tyler Solie who shot 85, and the last recorded score for the Beavers was Anthony Harper who shot 86.
