Kyle Kesinger a junior golfer the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Golf Player of the Week for September 14, 2016. Kesinger, from Carrollton, Illinois, opened his 2016 fall season with a first place finish in the Greenville Quad Meet. Playing against a field that included players from two other conference schools, Kesinger shot a round of 74 in the one day event. He finished four over par on the course at Indian Springs Golf Course, edging out his nearest competitor by two strokes. With Kesinger leading the way the Beavers took home the team title as well, shooting a team score of 308.

"This is a wonderful honor for Kyle and well deserved based on his excellent round of golf in our season opener last weekend.  Kyle is a dedicated, hard-working student-athlete both on the course and in the classroom and I am very pleased that he has received player of the week recognition, said Blackburn Golf Coach John Malin.
