The Beavers Don't Hold Back on Central College

In a rough match Saturday the 14th against Central Christian College of the Bible, the Beavers came home with another win for the scorebooks.

Blackburn's Julian Valencia(Highland, Ill.) started the beating early by scoring ten minutes into the first half on a push pass from Mikey Stephenson(Raymond, Ill.). After 15 more minutes of tackling and intercepted passes, Chris O'Connor(Pleasant Plains, Ill) and Brendan Krekeler(Imperial, Mo.) each scored on assists from Dylan Parkin(Athens, Ill.).

The Beavers came into the second half showing no signs of backing down. Valencia scored early on a penalty kick and soon after, Jonny Velazquez(Boilingbrook, Ill.) and Lucas Rochkes(Pana, Ill.) each kicked one in on assists from Gary Schultz(Florissant,Mo.). Stephenson had multiple shots on goal and finally in the final seconds of the game on a long pass from Nate Kinnison(Perryville, Mo.), managed to beat the keeper and end the game.

With a total of 27 shots for the Beavers and seven being goals, Blackburn's accuracy is certainly improving.

Blackburn is now 2-2-1 in their season and will host Lincoln Christian College on Wednesday at 4:00pm following the women's game at 2:00pm.
