On Wednesday, October 30th, Blackburn Soccer Teams traveled to Eureka College to face the Red Devils, hoping to bring home a conference win.

The men did not disappoint, with Mikey Stephenson scoring the teams first two goals within 30 minutes of kickoff. Ryan Kirby also had a great header off of a corner kick by Nate Kinnison, scoring Blackburn's third goal and ending the first half.

In the second half, Eureka managed to find a way around Blackburn keeper, Shane Rogers, and score their first, and only goal for the match. Blackburn was quick to retaliate, with Josh Gerdes scoring off an assist from Dylan Parkin.

The Beavers defeating Eureka was not only an important conference win, but a great confidence booster. The Men's Soccer Team hopes to use this on Saturday, November 2nd, when they face Fontbonne in their final conference game of the season and improve on their 2-6-0 SLIAC record.
