The Blackburn College Men's Soccer Team faced off against the first place Westminster College Bluejays on a sunny but blustery Saturday afternoon in Carlinville.
The match looked like it would be scoreless at halftime, but with eleven seconds in the first half, Blackburn was called for a foul in the box which led to a Tripp Shehan penalty kick goal to give the Bluejays the 1-0 halftime lead.
The match stayed right there until late in the 88th minute when Drew Cook scored on a goal to give the Bluejays the 2-0 lead and that's how the match finished. Westminster out-shot the Beavers 29-4 on the afternoon and Blackburn goalkeeper Jourdin Greene was credited with seven saves.
Blackburn is now 5-8-2 on the season.
