Beavers Drop Home Opener

On Friday August 31, The Blackburn College Men's Soccer Team participated in a non-conference game against The Mississippi University for Women. With a fairly new squad head coach for the Beavers, Rob Steinkuehler decided to push the envelope and see just how hard his new players were willing to work for win. The Beavers found themselves trailing after the first half one to zero against the Owls.  With six yellow cards called in the game, it was a tough competitive ball game all the way down to the wire.

The Owls came out on top with the final score of the final score of 2-0. In the season opener for both teams.  The match was a homecoming for former Blackburn player and women's coach Tim Gould who returned to his alma mater at the helm of MUA Owls.
