The Annual Beaverthon took place in Carlinville, Illinois on September 28 at 8:30 AM. The race started and ended on the Blackburn College campus but took place throughout the town. The overall race winner was Dan Reid, the son of Blackburn’s Professor Reid, with a time of 17:16. He was followed by Nathan Speckhart (2^nd, 18:17), Jake DeRousse (3^rd, 18:24), and Seth Tonsor (4^th, 20:26). Other runners on the men’s cross country team who competed are: Nathan Wagner (6^th), Mitch Elliott (7^th), and Paul Kline (8^th). The top female in the race was, Blackburn cross country runner, Tavi Wallace with a time of 23:04. Elizabeth Meehan also participated in the race (31^st overall). The cross country teams will be back in action on October 5^th at Millikin University starting at 11 AM.
