The Blackburn College softball team lost both games of a doubleheader on Sunday afternoon.

In game one, the Beavers took on Anderson College. They dropped that one by a score of 11-3. Starting pitcher Amber Byrley only made it through 1 inning, but Kathryn Lorsbach pitched excellent in relief by hurling 4 innings and only giving up 2 runs.

Lauren Rhodes got the only RBI for the Beavers and Mary Chamberlain went 2-2 in the game.

Game two pitted the Beavers against Illinois Wesleyan. Blackburn again found themselves on the wrong side of the win column with a final socre of 10-1. 

Lauren Rhodes threw 5 innings on the slate and gave up eight runs and struck out two. Bri Markel knocked in the only run for the Beavers while Ashley Donoho and Mary Chamberlain each collected a hit.
