The Blackburn College Softball Team traveled to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina this month to face teams from across the east coast in the Fastpitch Dreams Series. Coming into the tournament, the Beavers were excited to face new teams with their new coach.

Over the week, the Beavers struggled to pull out a win, losing their first three games. In their fourth game though against Keystone College, Blackburn showed their true potential, bringing home a win 3-2. As the series went on, more challenging teams were met and defeated the Beavers five more times. During Blackburns final game of spring break, the team faced SUNY-Canton. Playing the best game of their trip, the Beavers defeated the New York team 6-5 in the eighth inning.

While they may not have returned with the record they were hoping for, the Beavers have definitely shown their potential and are certainly going to put up a fight to be in the NCAA tournament.
