The Blackburn College Women's Softball team suffered a doubleheader loss 13-7 and 10-3 against the Eureka College Red Devils on a sunny and cold day at Blackburn College in Carlinville, IL on Wednesday. After a good start in the first couple innings the Beavers weren't able to prevent the big innings and get the win to start off Conference play.
Batting Leaders:
Blackburn: Hannah Goett in game one went 2-4 with a single and a double, and Allison Howard who went 2-4 in game one with a double and a single. In game two the Batting leaders include Daniele Burnell who went 1-3 with one run and Brooke Daniels who also went 1-3 with two RBI's.
Eureka: Krysten Wallace who went 2-5 with two singles in game one and Kerrigan Dura who went 4-5 with a single, two doubles and a homerun in game one. In game two the batting leaders include Kali George who went 1-3 with three RBI's and Danielle Brittain who went 2-4 with three RBI's.
