Blackburn College Sophomore Outfielder Abby Frerichs was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference's Second Team All-Conference Softball Team. Frerichs, from Litchfield, Illinois, hit .359 on the year with five homeruns and 26 runs batted in. Frerichs joins two teammates on the all-conference team as Baylee Hughes, a sophomore from Carlinville, Illinois and Hannah Goett, a senior from Springfield, Illinois, were named to the third team. Hughes, a pitcher/infielder, hit .408 on the season and led the team with 15 stolen bases. Goett, a catcher, led the team in homeruns and runs batted in with eleven homeruns and 39 runs batted in.
The conference also names an All-Sportsmanship Team and the Blackburn representative was Goett. The team also won the overall All-Sportsmanship Award for the 2018 season.
