Paragould, Arkansas—Opening weekend proved to be in favor of the Blackburn College softball team, as they were able to win the first ever Pioneer Classic by going 4-0. The beavers then fell to Haskell (6-5) in a regular matchup.
Team BC defeated; Ecclesia College (13-7) and (6-4), Crowley’s Ridge (7-6), and Haskell (11-10).
In the classic, the Beavers totaled up 57 hits, 42 runs, 15 Doubles, 8 Home Runs, and 37 RBI’s.
