On Saturday, December 14th, 2013, the Blackburn Women's Basketball Team faced the Iowa Wesleyan Tigers in the Beavers third conference game of the season.

In the first half, both teams were neck and neck. Ciara Morgan and Shelby Smith had four field goals each. Briana Rae was also a key player in the game, scoring seven, two-pointers of her own.

At the end of the half, Blackburn had scored ten out of 34 field goal attempts and six out of eleven free throws, bringing their score to 26 with Iowa Wesleyan scoring 30.

During the second half, the Tigers came out strong, draining 83% of their free throws and 52 more points. Blackburn fought back, with Morgan and Smith each sinking three, three-pointers, but the team was only able to come up with 38 more points before the final buzzer sounded, ending the game, Blackburn 64, Iowa Wesleyan 82.

The Beavers will travel to face the Linfield College Wildcats Sunday, December 29, 2013 at 4pm.
