Shelby Smith, a senior forward from Jerseyville (Jersey Community HS) has been named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Atheltic Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season. Smith averaged 22.3 points per game over three games last week, including contests against two of the top teams in the league (Spalding and Iowa Wesleyan). Smith recorded 15 points, five rebounds and three steals against Spalding. She followed with 22 points, five rebounds and two assists in a win over Fontbonne. Smith once again increased her scoring output with a 30 point effort against Iowa Wesleyan in which she also grabbed five rebounds and picked up six blocked shots. On the week Smith averaged 22.3 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.3 blocks per game.
