Blackburn College Senior Forward Shelby Smith was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Conference Team.  Smith was named to the second team all-sliac.  Smith, from Jerseyville, Illinois (Jersey Community HS) led the Beavers in scoring with a 16.3 points per game average.  She also pulled down 5.6 rebounds per game.  Smith also led the Beavers with 42 three-point field goals. "Shelby has come a long way since she was a freshman here at Blackburn and I'm happy to see her earn an all-conference award her senior year," said Blackburn Coach Jen Windmiller.  "Our growth this season was fueled by her spark that she brings to the court.  She stepped up this year like I knew she was capable her entire career, and it's nice to see a kid whose bought into what we're doing with program be successful.  She played with zero regrets and went out playing at the peak of her game," added Windmiller.
