The Blackburn College Women’s Basketball team faced St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference opponents from Eureka College on Saturday, January 17. The Beavers were overpowered 94-53 as they shot only 35 percent from the field and turned the ball over 21 times. The Red Devils of Eureka College shot 47 percent from the field and turned the ball over only 16 times.

Blackburn was led by Senior Briana Rae, who scored twelve points and brought down twelve rebounds. Eureka was led by Kelsie Shoemake, who scored fourteen points and grabbed thirteen rebounds and Luci Weis, who scored eleven points and dished out thirteen assists.

The Beavers will take the court again on Wednesday, January 21 in a home contest against conference opponents from Webster University. Tip-off is scheduled for 6:00 pm.
