The Blackburn College Women's Basketball team lost to Principia College on Saturday afternoon by a score of 64-51.

At halftime, Blackburn trailed by nine points with a 35-26 score. The Beavers could not overcome the deficit in half number two. Principia had two players who recorded a double double. Rachel Perea had a game-high 20 points and 14 rebounds along with six assists. Kara Johnson had 15 points and 16 rebounds.

Senior Briana Rae did her best to lead her team to their first victory but the visiting Panthers were just too much. Rae collected 21 points and eight boards in the game. Danae Smith added nine points and five assists while Alicia George had 13 points.

The Beavers are back in action next Wednesday at MacMurray College with tip-off slated for 6:00 PM.
