Accolades Continue for Briana Rae

Blackburn College Senior Forward Briana Rae continues to be recognized for her outstanding play this past season.  The Staunton, Illinois native was named as one of the ten finalists for the Josten's Trophy. The award is presented to an NCAA Division III basketball player who excels on the floor, in the classroom, and in the community. "Briana Rae is one of the finest student-athletes to have come out of Blackburn College, her academic coupled with her athletic achievements have her among nation's finest," said Blackburn College Athletic Director Mark Hopping.

Rae was also named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate All-Academic Team as well.  In order to qualify for the team a student must have a 3.5 or higher cumulative grade point average and at least sophomore standing.  This was the third consecutive season that Rae was named to the all-academic team.
