The Blackburn College Women's Basketball Team lost their conference openere to Eureka College, 81-39 on Wednesday night in Carlinville. The visiting Red Devils controlled the game throughout.

The Red Devils, playing in their eighth game of the season, jumped out to a 20-5 first quarter lead. In the second period, Eureka College led by as many as 25 points.

The Beavers came out in the second half struggling to catch up to the Red Devils. 

For Blackburn, Aleisha Stiltner led the Beavers in scoring with ten points. 

Eureka College, which improved to 4-3 on the season,  was led in scoring by Michaela Balducci with 18 points.

Blackburn, now 0-5 on the season, will face Iowa Wesleyan this Saturday in Carlinville at 1 pm.
