Women's Basketball Loses to Greenville

The Blackburn College Women's Basketball Team lost their final road game of the season at Greenville College on Saturday.  The Panthers jumped out to a big 28-3 first quarter lead and never looked back in claiming the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference victory.

Maria Cline led Blackburn in scoring with ten points, while Candace Pollock led in rebounding with six. The story of the game was Greenville's hot shooting as the Panthers shot 56 percent from the field on 30 of 53 shooting.  The Beavers shot only 26 percent on 12 of 46 from the field.

Blackburn is now 1-21 on the season and 1-14 in the SLIAC and will close out the season on Tuesday night against MacMurray College at 6:00 p.m. in Carlinville.
