Beavers fall to Nebraska Wesleyan

The Blackburn College Beavers Women's Basketball Team fell to Nebraska Wesleyan 87-47, on December 7, 2017 at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois. This being the first ever match up between these two schools, it was very difficult for the Beavers to figure out what kind of game Nebraska played, and with just over a week between games it may have been hard to get back into a rhythm.

  • Leaders for the Beavers included freshman guard Kate Smith who had seven points, five assists and one block, freshman guard Jenna Dudra who had six points, four rebounds and seven steals, and junior forward Gariel Pierce with six points, seven rebounds and one block.
  • As for the Prairie Wolves their scoring leaders include junior forward Addie Wetzel with 14 points, twelve rebounds, and two assists, senior guard Kate Schulte with ten points, nine rebounds and two steals, and also junior guard Ann Schulte who had eight points, five assists and four rebounds.
