A late second half push by the Beavers not enough as Blackburn falls to the Eureka Red Devils 71-54 at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois on Saturday December 9th, 2017. After a slow start, the Beavers just weren't able to over come the fast break and heavy press of the Red Devils.
Inside the stats:
- Leaders for the Beavers included freshman guard Kate Smith with thirteen points, three steals and five rebounds, sophmore guard Maria Cline with twelve points, seven rebounds and one assist. Off the bench sophmore point guard Alexia Duncan with seven points, three rebounds and one steal. An honorable mention for the Beavers is freshman guard Jenna Dudra with six points, six steals and four rebounds.
- The leaders for Eureka include sophmore guard Kennedy Dura with fifteen points, six assists and six rebounds, senior guard Hayley Reneau who had nineteen points, five assists and eight steals, and also junior guard Samantha Sarnes with thirteen points, four rebounds, and one assist.
