Blackburn Beavers come up short against St.Mary-Woods college

The Blackburn College Beavers Women's Basketball Team lost a hard fought game against the fast paced St.Mary-Woods College Pomeroys by the score of 103-99. The 99 points scored by Blackburn was the most points in a game since 2008 when the Beavers scored 96 in a game against Lincoln Christian.

Jenna Dudra scored a career-high of 32 points and had five rebounds to lead the Beavers. Dudra was joined in double figures by Gariel Pierce who had 13 points, 12 rebounds in 25 minutes of play, Savannah Kruse who had 12 points, 10 rebounds, 3 assists and went 8-10 at the free throw line, and Daaiyah Wardell who had 18 points, 17 rebounds and 1 assist in her first collegiate contest.

The up and down the floor contest was forced by the style St. Mary's of the Woods employs, with mass substitutions and constant full court pressure.  The Beavers led by ten at halftime but saw the Pomeroys come back in the second half.
