Women's Basketball Takes Down Robert Morris

The Blackburn College Women's Basketball Team used a big third quarter to down host Robert Morris of Springfield by a score of 69-49 on Tuesday night.  The Beavers trailed the Eagles 28-26 at halftime before out-scoring the hosts 26-8 in the third quarter.  Savannah Kruse scored 17 points and Jenna Dudra added 26 to pace Blackburn which has now won their third game of the season for the first time since the 2013-14 season.

Senior Gariel Pierce pulled down 17 rebounds to lead all rebounders.  Blackburn shot 52 percent in the decisive third quarter on 11 of 21 shooting while limiting RMU to just 16 percent from the field in that quarter.

Blackburn is now 3-10 on the season and will play at home on Wednesday night against conference foe Webster University.
