On Saturday, October 19, the Blackburn College Women's Soccer Team traveled to Principia College, hoping to dampen the Panthers homecoming weekend and bring home a win.
Testing Blackburn's defense, Principia finished the first half with a total of 23 shots.
In the second half, the Panthers came back even stronger, adding 26 more shots for a game total of 49.
At the end of the match, Blackburn's keeper Shana Sewick had a total of 14 saves on the afternoon.
While Blackburn couldn't find a way to push forward and attack the opposing goal, the women proved themselves defensively, preventing many scoring opportunities for Principia.
The Beavers face Greenville College on Wednesday at 3 pm following the men's home game, looking to improve on their 1-4 conference record.
