On the coldest day of the season, the Blackburn Beavers Women's Soccer team beat Mt. Mary University 6-0.

''The Beavers dominated throughout the entire match. Blackburn had 44 total shots compared to only six for Mt. Mary.

Junior Allison Guerra(Elsah, Ill.) had a phenomenal day on the pitch. She dished out three assists and scored a goal while having eleven total shots. Junior Alexis Richie (Carlinville, Ill.)pushed her total goals on the season up to 15 with her two today. Freshman Jourdin McFarland (Carlinville, Ill.)connected with her first two collegiate goals in the victory.

Christy Hobbs(Highland, Ill.) had a goal and an assist while Chelsea McMillian(Bethalto, Ill.) recorded an assist on McFarland's first goal.

Goalkeeper Shana Sewick(Belvidere, Ill.) had only a few tough chances in net today, but she managed to record another shutout.

With the win, Blackburn is now 6-5 on the season and will continue the home stand when the Gorloks of Webster University come to Carlinville on Saturday. This conference contest is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
