Sunday afternoon was just not the day for the Blackburn College Women's Soccer Team. The Mount St. Joseph University Lions came to Carlinville with some firepower by winning 6-0.

The Lions dominated the entirety of the game and accumulated 30 shots to only three for the Beavers. Freshman Meghan Sykora (Arnold, Mo.) recorded all of the Beavers shots. Freshman Nicole Kelly (St. Louis, Mo,) was busy all day with shots flying from all directions. A few of the six goals were just unstoppable shots with very good accuracy. Kelly managed to rack up seven saves.

For Mount St. Joseph, the six goals were from six different players. They also had four corner kicks and held the Beavers without one.

Blackburn is now 5-4 on the year and will be back on action Wednesday afternoon as Coe College comes to town for a 2:00 PM start.
