Women`s Soccer Dominates Iowa Wesleyan In Rainy Conditions

The Blackburn Women`s Soccer team faced off today in a conference match up against Iowa Wesleyan on Tuesday, October 27th at 3pm. The rainy weather conditions made the field a mud bath to play on. The action got started early when Christin Miller found the back of the net for the Beavers at 7:35. Christy Hobbs would put in the next three goals at 24:14, 32:11, and 34:58. Christin Miller finished off the first half by scoring another goal at the 37:09 mark sealing the 5-0 lead going into halftime.

Iowa Wesleyan came out fighting and managed to put three shots on goal during the second half. The Beavers didn't let down any on the offensive end. Meghan Sykora, Ashley Alexander, Kristin Naples, and Adriana Darow also put numbers on the board for the Beavers. The final score was 10-0 Blackburn. The Beavers had a total of thirty shots on goal for the match. Christy Hobbs came up with two saves for the game.

The Women`s soccer team moves to 6-11 overall and 2-6 in conference for this season. The Beavers travel to Eureka College on Saturday, October 30th to play in their last conference game of the season. The game is estimated to start at 3pm.
