The Blackburn Women`s Soccer team traveled North four hours to battle against Rockford University in a non-conference match. The action started early with Adriana Darow (Williamsville, Ill.) scoring from distance three minutes into the game. The Beavers kept their momentum going with Christin Miller (Floyd Central, Ind.) putting one in the back of the net at 10:20. Casey Fellin (Gillespie, Ill.) and Meghan Sykora (Arnold, Mo.) also added to the score board in the first half.

Leading 4-0 starting the second half did not slow the Beavers down from being a threat offensively. Miller and Sykora both broke free against the Rockford defense to make Blackburn go up by six. Blackburn finished the game with 31 shots on goal and Rockford with 11. Jourdin McFarland (Carlinville, Ill.) came up with six saves during the game. Final score came to 6-1.

The Women`s Soccer Team looks to continue their win streak as they head into Wisconsin to play Mount Mary University and Wisconsin Lutheran this upcoming weekend. The Beavers are (1-3).
