Late Goals Sink Beavers

The Blackburn College Women's Soccer Team lost a 4-0 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference match to Spalding University on Saturday in Carlinville.

The Beavers connected passes and communicated well throughout the whole game. In the first half the Beavers constantly defended Spalding. Christin Miller was the only Beaver to get a shot on goal against Spalding. Despite the Beavers continuous effort, Spalding scored a goal in the last few minutes of the first half.  The Beavers battled for the remainder of the match but unfortunately in the last 15 minutes Spalding scored three goals ending the match 4-0.

Blackburn is now 5-8-1 in the season.

The Blackburn Beavers will be back in action taking on Fontbonne University Saturday 15, 1 pm. in Carlinville.
