On a beautiful Saturday afternoon the Blackburn Beavers women's soccer team lost 2-0 to the Fontbonne Griffins in a conference match.

The Beavers held the Griffins 0-0 most of the first half only letting one goal in in the 43rd minute making the score 1-0 at halftime. The Griffins then scored again in the 75th minute making the score 2-0. Freshman goalkeeper Ashley Hoban had a total of 9 saves for the beavers .

The women's soccer team is back in action on an away game October 19th taking on Webster at 5pm.
