Women's Soccer Tops Rockford at Home

On September 22, 2018, the Blackburn College women's soccer team hosted the Regents of Rockford University. The game was played under decent sunny conditions, with a nice breeze, at Blackburn College Field. The game started at 3:00 PM, and ended at 4:47 PM, lasting a total of one hour and 47 minutes. Early in the first period, Erica Bechtold took control of the game by scoring a goal at the five minute mark. She then scored again at the 44 minute mark. She led her team in total shots on goal with four. Blackburn played a very defensive game, allowing no goals from the Regents. Morgan Zobrist played an outstanding game at goalkeeper, saving all eight shots on goal from the Regents. At halftime, Blackburn was leading the Regents 2-0. Adriana Darow secured the win for Blackburn when she scored the third goal of the game at the 62 minute mark. With this game, Blackburn now moves to a record of 1-7.
