Blackburn College Sophomore tennis player Gariel Pierce was named to the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference All-Academic Team for the spring of 2017. Pierce is from Springfield, Illinnois and is a graduate of Southeast High School is majoring in elementary education. In order to qualify for the team, the student-athlete must be of at least sophomore standing and have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
Pierce joins 15 other Blackburn student-athletes that qualified for the all-academic team for the 2016-17 school year.
