Volleyball Loses in Three Sets To Westminster

The Blackburn College Volleyball Team dropped a three-set decision to Westminster College on Friday night in Carlinville by the scores of 25-11, 25-13, 25-11 in St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference action.

Senior Jessica McClelland led the Beavers with five kills on the evening.  Allie Matt and Jamie Russow added three kills apiece.  Amy Walton had ten digs on the night to lead Blackburn. 

For Westminster, Riley Lawrence totalled eleven kills to lead the Blue Jays. 

Blackburn is now 1-11 on the season and 0-8 in the SLIAC, while Westminster moves to 8-6 and 5-4 in league play.

The Beavers will be right back in action on Saturday morning hosting a tri-match against non-conference opponents Harris-Stowe and Benedictine-Springfield with the first match beginning at 11 a.m.
