Blackburn College volleyball player Marlee Lindstrom was named the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Defensive Player of the Week. A junior from Maquoketa, Iowa, Lindstrom helped the Beavers to a pair of wins last week including a conference win over Eureka. Lindstrom started the week with 53 digs in a five set win over North Central. The 53 digs are a new school record. 

She followed with 22 digs against Dubuque and closed out her week with 32 digs against Eureka. On the week Lindstrom averaged 8.92 digs per set, finishing with 107 digs in 12 sets.  “Marlee is an exceptional athlete who has been working hard all season long, to say she is deserving of this award is an understatement,” said Blackburn Volleyball Coach Jordan Barton.
