Blackburn Lady Beavers volleyball team defeated the Eureka Red Devils three sets to two in a conference matchup at the Beaver Dome in Carlinville, Illinois on October 27, 2017.
The Beavers got off to a great start winning game one 25-19, but they hit a rough patch, losing games two and three. The Beavers rallied back, winning the fourth game in a nail bitter 25-23 to force a game 5. There, they finished off the Red Devils 15- 12.
The the Beavers were lead by Shelsie Timmermeier with ten kills, Kaitlyn Wiegand with nine kills, Jensen Ballinger with fiftteen assits and thirteen digs, and Kendall Burleyson with sixteen assits. Eureka was lead by Heather Robinson with twenty assists and thirteen kills, Anna Crank with ten digs and nineteen kills, Beth Mickna with 22 digs, and Jordan Detmers with seventeen digs.
