Blackburn's volleyball team dropped a SLIAC conference matchup to the visiting Gorloks of Webster University. The match took place on Tuesday, October 8th, 2019, at Blackburn College in Carlinville, Illinois. Webster took the victory in three sets.
- Webster had a 19-1 run starting at the end of the second set.
- The Gorloks totaled 107 total attacks, and 39 kills. Defensively, the team totaled 56 digs, and three blocks.
- Jordan Price led the Gorloks with eleven kills and 24 total attacks.
- The Beavers had 114 total attacks and 34 kills. Kaitlyn Weigand led the team with ten kills.
- Lucy Magnussen had 37 total attacks. She tallied eight kills of her own.
- Blackburn had 51 digs, led by Amanda Swedberg who tallied thirteen.
Following this match, the Beavers move to an overall record of 3-13, and 3-6 in the SLIAC. Webster is now 8-9, and 5-3 in the SLIAC. The Beavers will play another home game tomorrow, October 9th, 2019, against Illinois College. The game will start at 6:00 p.m.
